Hey, has your Overleaf token expired again? Happy December! Here's how to fix it.
Generate a new token #
- Head to account settings: https://www.overleaf.com/user/settings
- Generate a new token, copy it.
In the terminal #
- Try to do a git pull
- It might be that you get a git failure message (this is probably how you realized that your token expired in the first place)
- If you get a kwallet message, you'll be tempted to hit cancel. Instead, go through the kwallet flow.
- At the end of it, if you're on the laptop, it'll pop up a dialog asking for a password. The authentication token is the password, go ahead and paste it here.
Concluding thoughts #
If all goes well, you should be able to do a git pull just like before.
